Adventure awaits at Hudayriyat Leisure and Entertainment District
Major hubs OCR Park, 321Sports and Circuit X offer a variety of sports and recreational experiences.
Sports enthusiasts are in for a treat at Hudayriyat Leisure and Entertainment District in Abu Dhabi with the beachside destination offering the perfect place for thrills and adventure for guests of all ages. With OCR Park, Circuit X and 321Sports providing a range of exhilaration, the vibrant destination is a hub of unmatched sports and fitness offerings just 20 minutes from downtown.
Tamana Adventure’s Circuit X offers a Skate Park, BMX Park and a High Ropes Park within the District. The Skate Park offers a mix of challenges for all skill levels, with three skate bowls in addition to an array of ledges, handrails, quarter pipes and bridges. Professionals and beginners can bring their own skateboard or scooter or rent one at the park. The High Ropes Park offers three levels of games, safely designed to boost athleticism, please thrill-seekers, and support team-building exercises. The lower inner course provides an opportunity for the younger participants to experience the course, while the outer course is for older kids with an increasing level of difficulty. BMX-lovers can find a new home at the BMX pump track. The track has two types of rides, the inner track is an asphalt track designed as a course based on pump action with several areas for skills and jumps. The outer course is a dirt track constructed using natural materials with several ramps and sharp turns around the Park.
Another thrilling experience is the largest permanent obstacle course site in the UAE, adding yet another thrilling element to the lively district. Sponsored by Sabco Sports, OCR Park features a track for adults with eight different obstacles as well as eight fitness stations spread between the obstacles, each varying in difficulty and interchangeable to cater to the type of event. There is also a course for children with six smaller obstacle challenges, allowing younger guests to partake in the fun.
Visitors can also make use of 23 different courts located within 321Sports by Ahdaaf Sports, including football, basketball, a jogging track and six 400m running tracks. Visitors can also enjoy the various facilities of the Hudayriyat Courts, a fully air-conditioned dome which houses a 5-a-side football pitch, and courts for tennis, basketball, badminton and padel tennis.
In addition to these sports hubs, residents and visitors can escape the busy urban life and enjoy recreational exercise at the Bike Park located on Hudayriyat island. Cyclists have the option of three trails for beginners, intermediate, or advanced tracks. Enjoy the 300m Floating Track or one of the Bike Park’s three, five or 10 km cycle paths, complete with shaded rest areas and a jogging track. Those seeking to build up a sweat can also enjoy the stretch of cycle paths. Every one of Hudayriyat’s streets is lined with cycling tracks, offering a safe and accessible space to hop on their bikes and explore the island.
At the heart of Hudayriyat lies Marsana, a vibrant waterfront promenade. The destination offers quick and direct access to Hudayriyat Beach, cycle and jogging tracks, and an outdoor gym. It also offers 17 casual dining restaurants and food trucks to relax and wind down after a workout.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today toured Al Hudayriat Recreational Project, a waterfront community on the 3,000-hectare Hudayriat Island, south-west of the Abu Dhabi main island, and directed to open the development for public over the coming 30 days.
